The game will consist of 21 ends, 4 bowls each player. In the case of a tie, an extra end must be played, the shots at this end to count in the final score.
The two players taking part in the first game shall constitute the pair and should normally play together throughout the competition. ONE additional - and the same - player may, however, be used as a substitute in any further round, provided he has not already played in the competition.
The winning pair will be awarded the Pairs Championship of the Association and Commemorative Shields and will hold the 'BELMONT SILVER SALVERS' for 12 months. The runners-up will get the Commemorative Shields and hold the 'JOHN ANDERSON SILVER JACKS' for 12 months.
