Three leagues will be operated viz. the Knight and Nines Leagues on Tuesdays, and the Clegg Leagues on Wednesdays.
GENERAL CONDITIONS - RELATING TO LEAGUES
- All games will start at 7pm except in August when they will start at 6.30pm; 15 minutes grace will be given to visiting teams.
- The Home team will be responsible for all green fees.
- The Home team will appoint an Umpire before each game and he will be in close attendance for the whole of the game.
-
- Any team not fulfilling a fixture will be in default.
- When a team has been in default in any division of any league on three (3) occasions it will be deemed to have withdrawn from that league. Any matches it has played, and those in which it has been in default, will be deleted from the records and the league table revised accordingly.
- Where matches are postponed or not completed, the following conditions will apply:
- The match must be played by or on the Wednesday 14 days after the last scheduled Clegg fixture.
- lf, for any reason other than a team being in default, matches are not played as in (a) then they are void, and neither team will receive or lose points or shots.
- The Home Club MUST offer three weekday dates for the re-arranged game or forfeit the game in default. The Visiting Club must accept one of the dates offered or forfeit the game in default. THE OFFER OF DATES must be made within fourteen (14) days of the postponement for matches scheduled to be played on or before the 3lst July and within seven (7) days for matches scheduled for the lst August onwards.
- For other than ground conditions, matches can only be postponed by mutual agreement - teams just cannot request three dates because they cannot field a team.
- Where a game is unfinished it shall resume with the scores as they were when the game stopped unless at least ll ends (Clegg and Knight Leagues) or 9 ends (Nines League) have been completed on all rinks when by mutual agreement the result will stand. The result to be determined by the usual method for the appropriate league, taking into account the scores of all completed ends on each individual rink.
- If, when all their games are completed, any teams are level on points, the highest shots difference will decide the winners. Should they still be level, then the highest shots scored will decide.
- Official score sheets which are supplied to each club must be completed by the Home Team, signed by a Representative of both Clubs and posted to the League Secretary as soon as possible. Clubs are urged to use first-class post.
- When a team withdraws from a League then only two of the teams taking part in the relevant Division will be relegated.
- Division winners will hold the Divisional Cup for one year.
- Entries to all Leagues for the following season should be received by the League Secretary no later than the 3lst October of the previous year, together with the entrance fee of £2 for each team entered into each League.
- In the event that the number of Clubs opting to play in the League necessitates a change in the number of "divisions" in that League, then the promotion / relegation may be varied. Three-up, Three-down will form the basis of the "ranking order" for the selection of the individual divisions (but see General rule 8 above).
- Dress for all the league games to be in accordance with Rule 13 of the County Championship Conditions.
